How we review

Every product on this site falls into one of two categories:

• Reviews — products we have first-hand experience with. Our "My Take" section reflects real use.
• Buyer's guides — comparative roundups of products we've researched but don't own. We tell you which one is best for which use case, based on specs, reputation, and community feedback.

How we make money
